Northwest Baptist Church invites you to join us for a very special event, June 3-4, 2011.   As part of a Worship Renewal Grant, Northwest has engaged Dr. Larry Osborne to speak about the relationship between vital small groups and closing the back door of the church.  Small groups play a crucial role in helping people build relationships, effectively knitting their lives into the fabric of the church and to others who desire Christ-likeness.

Friday, June 3^rd, 6:00-8:00 PM, will target a broader audience, focusing on closing the “back door” of the church with vital small groups, in general, and through Sermon-Based Small Groups, in particular.  Dr. Osborne will speak to the vision of Sermon-Based Small Groups noting the biblical, theological, and modern trends rationale undergirding it.  Through this grant year, Northwest has begun to realize the potential for health that Sermon-Based Small Groups offer, both on the personal level and to the entire church.

Saturday, June 4^th, 9:00-11:15 AM, will target specifically small group leaders, hosts, apprentices, and anyone interested in starting a new group.  This session will focus on nuts and bolts implementation, providing a critique and response to Northwest’s Sermon-Based Small Groups pilot project model.  This session will be more interactive between speaker and audience as leaders dialogue about the details of leading a Sermon-Based Small Group.

This event is made possible through a Worship Renewal Grant from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, Grand Rapids, Michigan, with funds provided by Lilly Endowment, Inc.

The United We Grow Banquet Team is honored to invite you to the United We Grow Banquet, 6:00 p.m. Sunday October 17, 2010 at Innovations in the Crown Plaza West Hotel, Hwy 100 & Watertown Plank Road in Wauwatosa.  Free child care for ages 5 and under will be provided at the church starting at 5:30 p.m.  Ages 6 to maturity will be our guests at the banquet for a special program, music and meal. A hostess will call you soon with details. We are looking forward to a great evening and a fun time for all with focus on how far God has brought us and where we go from here.

Son Fest is back! Northwest would like to invite our church family and neighboring community to come on over and enjoy some games, grooves and grilling on Sunday, August 22. Choose from either our 9:00am traditional church service or our 10:30am contemporary service, and then head outside when the festivities begin at Noon.

We’ll be cookin’ up lunch plates (including a drink) for $3 each and holding several raffles with some great prizes. Plus, there will be games and entertainment for kids, basketball, volleyball and more! Or just sit back and enjoy live music from 1:00-1:45pm and 2:30-3:15pm. See you there!

We all love going out for a warm cup of coffee or tea with friends. And most of us long to extend those short visits and take time to slow down and really enjoy time together.

That’s exactly what we’ll do at Sweet Life Café. Join us at this retreat,where we’ll savor time with God and friends. Together we’ll experience meaningful Bible studies, flavor-filled activities, and scrumptiously delicious fun!

We’ll begin with dinner on the evening of Friday September 10 and will finish on the morning of Sunday September 12. Our Sweet Life Café retreat will be heldin the Geneva Bay Center at the Covenant Harbor Resort in Lake Geneva, WI. The cost of the retreat covers five delicious meals, fun and refreshing activities, and comfortable lodging.

Choose the 2 person per room option for $199 each person or the 3 person perroom option for $149 each person. A $50 deposit secures your room and the fullcost of the retreat is due by Sunday August 22nd.

Thinkmarriage.org is holding a Laugh Your Way to a Better Valentines’ Day Weekend in Brookfield at the Sheraton Brookfield on February 12th and 13th, 2010.  It’s a Friday night & Saturday day event.  Packages start at $99, which includes a sit down dinner and dance on Friday evening.
