Youth
At Northwest, we are dedicated to the challenge of leading teenagers in their journey of finding salvation in Christ and teaching them to walk in faith. God has a plan for each and every youth. Our role is to put youth in situations where they can see that plan. Most of all we seek to share God’s Word and to challenge our young people to live in harmony with it.
The Youth Ministry offers several opportunities for each student to grow in his or her faith. Every Sunday morning we gather for Bible Study. This study is mainly geared toward general Biblical knowledge and how it applies to daily life. As an added bonus we usually have donuts for a little brain food! Wednesday night studies look to go even more into depth about the life issues youth face today (such as dating, money, family and other relationships) and spiritual disciplines that will benefit their daily lives (like prayer, evangelism, and Bible study).
The youth also participate in camps, retreats, “30-Hour Famine” (a hunger relief event), and the Mosquito Feed (a yearly end-of-summer campout). Youth are encouraged to participate in the other ministries that Northwest offers whether that be the worship team, the food pantry, Vacation Bible School or any other area where they feel lead to join in. On the second Saturday of each month we have a game night where we spend time together and enjoy video games, food, music, and good company.
If you are in grades 7 through 12, we would love for you to join us!
